Our firm provides free consultations in evaluating potential claims and injuries, with no upfront fees or costs for our clients. There are no fees and expenses unless we agree to take your case.

Many people seeking legal assistance following an injury cannot bear the burden of litigation and attorney fees in addition to medical bills and lost wages. Contingency fees and the advancing of costs allows our clients to focus on their own recovery and encourages our firm to work more diligently in recovering money for our client for their losses.

 Fees

If we take your case, we charge a fee on a contingency basis. This means that clients are not responsible for paying attorney’s fees unless the client receives compensation for their injury case, either through settlement, verdict, or judgement. If there is no compensation for an injury case, then our clients do not owe attorney’s fees. If we successfully recover money for our clients, clients are expected to pay 33 1/3% – 40% of the amount received to their attorney for their efforts in reaching a resolution. The amount and structure of our firm’s contingency fee is agreed to up front by our clients.

Costs

There are also costs associated with pursuing a personal injury case. If your case is resolved without filing suit, these costs are generally minimal. Once a lawsuit is filed, costs can increase significantly due to the expenses associated with litigation. Our firm generally opts to advance these costs on behalf of our clients so that we can continue to pursue recovery for them. If there is a recovery, then the costs would come out of the recovery in addition to the contingency fee described above. Because costs increase upon the filing of a lawsuit, we speak with our clients prior to filing a lawsuit to weigh the benefits and risks of filing a lawsuit.
